Penelitian ini memiliki rantai kausal dan validitas logika yang baik karena peneliti telah menjelaskan pendahuluan, landasan teori, dan pengembangan hipotesis, mengenai variabel dependent yaitu perlindungan impor serta variabel independent yaitu manajemen laba income decreasing.

Pengendalian Variabel Ekstraneous

Variabel ekstraneous dalam penelitian ini dikendalikan dengan metode purposive sampling dimana dalam penelitian ini dibatasi untuk investigasi bantuan impor yang mengharuskan ITC untuk membuat suatu keputusan injury: anti dumping, countervailing duty, dan general escape clause.

Penelitian ini memiliki validitas internal yang cukup baik karena terdapat Terjadi konsistensi antara masalah penelitian dan hipotesis yang diuji, dimana penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji hipotesis manajemen laba berdasarkan model ekspektasi perusahaan spesifik untuk memprediksi total akrual normal. sehingga hasil penelitian dapat menjawab masalah penelitian yang diungkapkan peneliti.
