Referential NPs are either possessive NPs (marked Poss) or standard (non-possessive) NPs (marked NP).
Possessive NPs, which may either be possessive pronouns or noun phrases marked with ’s, often express
frame elements of predicating nouns. For example, in the Communication frame, possessive nouns express
the Speaker role when they are the determiners of target nouns such as claim, remark, reply, etc.:
